In celebration of its 15th anniversary, the Maui Arts & Cultural Center is holding its inaugural Maui Brewers' Festival on May 30.
The event will host 23 brewers serving 46 distinctive beers from Hawaii, the U.S. mainland and the world at large, including entries from island brewing celebrities like Kona Brewing Co., Maui Brewing Co. and Hawaii Nui.
Seafood wontons, crab cakes, barbecue ribs, beer-battered sweet Maui onion rings, lilikoi meatballs and island gelato are just a few of the foods attendees can enjoy while taking in live music by the Island Rumors Band, Erin Smith and the Throwdowns, Off Tomorrow and the Celtic Tigers.
General admission is $50 for advance purchases ($75 day of event), which allows festival-goers eight tastings of the various brews in a keepsake mug and the chance to graze freely among the food offerings. Premium seating is also available for $150 ($175 day of event).
Proceeds from the event benefit the center's arts education programs. Visit www.mauiarts.org.
