Hawaii interisland carrier Mokulele Airlines launched service between Maui’s Kahului Airport and the Waimea-Kohala Airport on the Big Island of Hawaii Sept. 21.

The daily service will offer travelers connections to Honolulu Airport on Oahu, according to Mokulele officials.

The carrier is offering an introductory one-way fare of $59, including taxes and fees, on the new route for reservations made prior to Oct. 31.

Headquartered in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island, Mokulele operates a fleet of nine-passenger, turbine-powered Cessna Grand Caravans, offering more than 115 flights per day connecting Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui and the Big Island.
