Beginning Oct. 1, interisland carrier Mokulele Airlines will offer twice-daily service between Maui’s Kahului Airport and the island’s Hana Airport onboard its nine-seat Cessna Grand Caravan 208B aircraft.

Ticket prices for the 20-minute flight start at $59 each way, but guests booked on a three-night, all-inclusive package at the 70-room Travaasa Hana, Maui can take advantage of the new flights at no charge.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer the town of Hana and our hotel guests a quick and affordable option for traveling to the eastern coast of Maui,” said Chris Manning, co-founder and president of Travaasa Experiential Resorts. “Our quiet location is one of the many features that make our property so unforgettable. Now, guests have a choice of experiencing the adventure and beauty of the Road to Hana by car or flying into Hana in minutes and enjoying the coastline from aloft via Mokulele Airlines.”

Pacific Wings is currently the only other airline offering service between Kahului and Hana, and according to a recent search on their website, now charges $244 one way for the flight.

The drive time between Kahului and Hana is about two hours.

Purchased by TransPac Aviation last year, Mokulele currently offers more than 60 daily flights across Hawaii.
