New food court finished at Honolulu Airport

Representatives from the Hawaii Department of Transportation and HMSHost Corp. dedicated the new food court at Honolulu Airport’s main terminal on Sept. 14.

The ceremony marked the completion of a nearly $20 million effort to improve the dinning and shopping options for travelers using the state’s largest airport.

The upgrade is part of a 12-year, $2.3 billion airports modernization plan initiated by Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle in 2007.

New dining options include California Pizza Kitchen, Kona Brewing Co., Chow Mein Express and Hawaii’s first Pinkberry location.
