Obituary: Ron Wright, 58, former Continental exec

Ron Wright, retired Continental Airlines executive in Hawaii and former CEO and chairman of Get2Hawaii, an Internet-based travel wholesaler and booking engine provider, died June 25 of melanoma in Honolulu. He was 58.

Wright also served on the board of the Hawaii Tourism Authority.

A 37-year veteran of Continental, he was managing director of sales and marketing for Hawaii until 2005 when he left the airline to move to his position at Get2Hawaii.

Larry Kellner, chairman and CEO of Continental, said Wright was "invaluable as the face of Continental Airlines in Hawaii."

Wright is survived by his wife, Lauren, and his mother, Jean Reeves Wright, of Houston.
