The number of passengers traveling on Hawaiian Airlines flights grew in June, climbing 1.3%, to more than 884,000.

The carrier’s load factor for the month slipped year over year, however, dipping 1.5 percentage points, to 83.1%, according to figures released recently by the airline.

Revenue producing miles were up less than 1%, to more than 1.22 billion.

Year to date through June, Hawaiian has transported more than 4.9 million passengers, up 1% from the first six months in 2013, while the carrier’s load factor was 79.6%, off just over 1 percentage point when compared with the first half of last year.
