According to an industry survey conducted by Hospitality Advisors and Smith Travel Research, the average revenue per available room for Hawaii hotels was $104.67 in May, up 3.6% year over year.
That marks the third consecutive month RevPAR has increased statewide.
Occupancy across the Islands was 65.4%, climbing 4.4% from the same month in 2009. Average daily room rates fell, however, sliding 3.4% to a statewide average of 160.05%.
Even so, Hawaii's hotel industry took in $183.5 million in room revenue this May, up nearly 5% from the same month last year.
