Hawaii Superferry now through Jan. 16 is increasing the number of bags that walk-on passengers can check in free of charge from two to four bags.
Each checked bag cannot exceed 50 pounds and must be no larger than 13 by 22 by 24 inches.
Passengers traveling with vehicles can pack as much as can safely be stowed inside the vehicle. For noncommercial, standard-sized vehicles, surfboards, kayaks and other recreational items and baggage can be loaded up to 8 feet high and 17 feet long on top of each passenger vehicle.
Adult fares for travel on Hawaii Superferry start at $49 each way and $65 each way for vehicles. Seniors (ages 62 and up), children (ages 2 to 12) and military (and their dependents) receive a $10 discount.
