travel42 Hotel Review: The Dominican, a Design Hotel

The Dominican, a Design Hotel travel42 Professional Hotel Review

Location and History

Located just behind La Monnaie, in a superlative location for leisure travelers, the Dominican is a dynamic design hotel that tenders standards that will please demanding business and leisure travelers.

Originally a 15th-century Dominican monastery, it was later the 19th-century residence of French painter Jacques-Louis David. In spite of its big-bucks backing, this handsomely revamped modernist feels more like an independent hotel than a chain offering.
