The Fairmont Palliser travel42 Professional Hotel Review

Location and History

Built in 1914 by the Canadian Pacific Railway, the Fairmont Palliser is one of a series of grand hotels built to host travelers who were hopscotching along the scenic route through the Rocky Mountains. When it opened, the stately sandstone building offered the latest features, many of which, such as letter chutes in the hallways, have been retained. Fairmont has recently been acquired by AccorHotels, the largest hotel group in Europe.
