Location and History
A picturesque 45-minute drive up and over the central mountains from the airport, this resort, spanning 300 acres and among the biggest in the Indian Ocean and the largest in the country, is located on the preferred southern shore of Mahe, set upon a private peninsula featuring five proper beaches (and a few hidden ones). A large mangrove forest sets the resort back from the road and provides an estuarial ecosystem for an array of birds and wildlife.
This resort is the first in the country to achieve the Green Globe Platinum Certification as part of its larger ecofriendly efforts that include repurposing cooking oil and nixing single-use plastics.
