Description
Seafront hotel in Castro Alves Square - Offers views of Todos os Santos Bay - Caters Italian cuisine.
Location and History
Fasano is located on a seafront road right in the heart of Salvador's upper historic district. It commands spectacular views over the Atlantic coast and Salvador's port, far below, with a small square directly in front of the hotel where tourists stop to snap photos.
The stately, historic building dates to the 1912 when it served as the original headquarters of A Tarde daily newspaper until 1974, when the paper changed locations. The building then became a theater until 1992, when it closed and sat abandoned until 2005, when Fasano bought it.
