What’s the status of the
hotel inventory in Los Cabos now, five months after Hurricane Odile’s assault
on the region?
More than 40 hotels representing
8,871 rooms were open, operating and welcoming visitors as of Jan. 15.
The Los Cabos Hotel
Association lists 12,225 rooms in its inventory of member hotels, although the
destination Los Cabos totals more than 15,000 rooms.
Coming up in March: Marquis
Los Cabos on March 1, Sirena Del Mar Welk Resorts on March 9 and Esperanza, an
Auberge Resort, slated to open at the end of the month.
That will be followed by the April
20 reopening of One&Only Palmilla.
Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf
Resort & Spa is targeting a June 1 reopening as is the Hilton Los Cabos
Beach & Golf Resort.
The Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos and
the Hyatt Place Los Cabos both plan to reopen in mid-July.
The Westin Resort & Spa
Los Cabos will welcome guests on Sept. 30.
Melia Cabo Real plans a
December reopening, and ME by Melia Cabo will be back in operation for 2015-2016
The Marbella Suites En La
Playa will not reopen.
