Manage meetings with a touch of a button?
It is now a possibility at Marriott, thanks to a new app introduced by the company, according to Michelle Bozoki, director of marketing and e-Commerce for Marriott Caribbean & Latin America Resorts.
Meetings planners looking to book an event at any of the Marriott Caribbean & Mexico Resorts collection properties have access to the app that is part of the company’s “Future of Meetings” initiative. Seven hotels in the collection already have implemented the app, called JW Event Concierge at JW Marriott hotels and R.E.N. Meetings Expert at Renaissance hotels.
“It’s designed to increase convenience, save time and is the first branded hotel app to grant nearly all meetings requests,” Bozoki said.
The app is personalized to each organizer’s specific meeting and is sent directly to the planner three days prior to the meeting, when the planner can start making requests.
The app enables planners to make real-time adjustments, ranging from the temperature of the room to an earlier serving of lunch.
Once the request is made, it is routed to the event manager and the department that can fulfill the request.
The app is free and available for use on all Web-enabled devices, including iPhones, iPads, Android phones, Kindle Fires and laptops. It will be available as well for use at several U.S. and international properties, other than Mexico and the Caribbean, later this year.
Current participating hotels include: the CasaMagna Marriott Cancun Resort, the CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa, the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa, the St. Kitts Marriott Resort & the Royal Beach Casino, the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino, the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort & Emerald Casino and the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort.
The app also will be available at Frenchman’s Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort in St. Thomas and the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino later this year.
