Nature lovers have a new option available for sailing into the Baja sunset on Mexico’s Sea of Cortes this winter.
InnerSea Discoveries launches weekly sailings Dec. 1 aboard its 86-passenger Safari Endeavor yacht-style ship, which replaces the 22-passenger Safari Quest formerly used in Baja.
In addition, a new itinerary includes a stop in Loreto, plus calls at Isla Espiritu Santo, Los Islotes, Isla San Francisco and Bahia Agua Verde.
“We will explore desert islands, see wildlife and marine life, snorkel, kayak and paddleboard,” said Tim Jacox, executive vice president, sales and marketing for InnerSea Discoveries.
“The larger capacity of Safari Endeavor allows us to share this destination with more adventurers per voyage,” Jacox said.
Cruises, which start at $2,995 per passenger, double, begin and end in La Paz. Alaska Airlines has flights into La Paz from Los Angeles, or travelers can fly into Los Cabos and transfer by van for the three-hour ride to La Paz.
Rates cover meals, drinks, transfers and activities.
Departures run from Dec. 1 through April 6 and from Nov. 16 through Dec. 28, 2013.
