Las Brisas Hotel Collection added three properties to its collection of seven properties in its portfolio, including its first in the Mexican Caribbean.
The Las Brisas portfolio, which totals more than 2,500 rooms in seven Mexican destinations, includes Acapulco, Huatulco, Ixtapa, Golf Resort & Marina Manzanillo, Hacienda Jurica Queretaro, Galeria Plaza Reforma Mexico City and Galeria Plaza Veracruz.
“The new elite brand of the company is the 274-suite Nizuc Resort & Spa in Cancun, which opened in March,” said Rafael Juan Millan, director general and CEO. “This is our first foray into the Mexican Caribbean market and marks an exciting moment for our company.”
Many of the suites come with private plunge pools. Resort facilities include tropical gardens, six restaurants, two beaches and a spa.
Already in the planning stages is the Nizuc Los Cabos, slated for a 2016 opening.
Two more properties joining the collection will be the 150-room Galeria Plaza San Jeronimo in Mexico City, opening in 2014, and the Sunrock Hotel & Residences Los Cabos, targeted at the mid-market price range.
Sunrock will offer 112 two-bedroom residences with full kitchens, seven pools and views of Los Cabos Bay.
Opening is scheduled for early 2015.
