Hacienda Petac, a private, 400-year-old restored estate outside Merida, now offers customized wedding packages in an intimate setting.
The packages are designed for small groups booking the seven-bedroom hacienda.
A full-time staff of 23 handles all the wedding details. The basic package includes exclusive use of the terraces, gardens and main hours for six hours, rental of the chapel, photographer, music, a catered three-course banquet, cake, premium champagne, massages for the bride and room, candles, flowers and table decorations. A Mayan ceremony and a marimba serenade also are available.
The package is priced from $6,500 for 25 guests and at $12,500 for 50 guests.
Lodging for the bride and groom plus 10 guests in seven suites with three meals a day, nonalcoholic beverages and all taxes is $2,000 per night.
