Riu Hotels & Resorts launched its “Double-U” concept, geared to women travelers, at its Riu Plaza property in Guadalajara.
The concept features a women-only floor with a special reception area, services, staff and amenities, such as healthy drinks and snacks, newspapers, coffee and some complimentary beauty products.
The guestrooms on the women-only floor are equipped with a yoga kit, pillow menu, complimentary minibar and room service with a deli menu.
Female staff provides every service on the floor, from cleaning to security.
Double-U floors are offered at the Riu Plaza hotels in Panama City and Berlin in addition to Guadalajara.
There is a small additional charge for a Double-U room, according to Riu.
