Mexican low-fare flyer Volaris will launch a twice-weekly route linking Ontario, Calif., and Guadalajara, starting April 13.

Ontario, about half an hour east of downtown Los Angeles, will be the carrier’s 13th U.S. destination and its seventh in California.

“Flying to Ontario is an important step in our support of the U.S. market by fulfilling the connectivity needs required and by offering economic flights while promoting cultural, economic and commercial exchanges between Mexico and the U.S.,” said Enrique Beltranena, CEO.

The flights from Ontario will operate on Thursdays and Sundays; from Guadalajara, flights will run on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
