Kenya Airways has reached an agreement with Delta Airlines to activate its codeshare in the U.S. and Canada on its Nairobi-New York route.
Sebastian Mikosz, Kenya Airways group managing director and CEO, said, "As part of our commitment to the New York route, we are proud to be a part of this partnership that will open up opportunities for our customers to access more destinations in North America through the John F. Kennedy Airport."
Continuing service from New York will be available to Chicago O'Hare; Denver; Orlando; Miami; Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; Phoenix; and Charlotte. Additional cities -- Houston; Philadelphia; Columbus, Ohio; Kansas City; Toronto; Montreal; Ottawa; and Edmonton, Alberta -- will be served upon receiving government and regulatory approvals.
Kenya Air also announced that starting in June it will increase its frequency to New York from five days a week to daily departures.
