Several South African and U.S. tour operators seem to have been inspired by Nelson Mandela’s life and have launched tours that celebrate the life of the late South African icon.
Indus Travels recently unveiled a 12-night tour titled Nelson Mandela, a Life Celebrated. Travelers will visit take in landmark sites, such as his birthplace, his burial site and Robben Island, where he was imprisoned, as well as other must-see attractions. This small group tour runs July 14 to 26, which puts tour members in South Africa for Mandela’s birthday (July 18). A discount of $400 per person is offered for bookings made by May 31.
