In an email sent to travel advisors on March 10, Visit Qatar offered a message of reassurance for advisors with clients stuck in the country due to airspace closures from the Iran war.

Stranded visitors are getting free extended accommodations until they are able to safely depart the country. Qatar's national authorities, hotels and the tourism board are working together on the effort, said Visit Qatar.

Clients who overstay their visa will not accrue any penalties while they wait to return home.

"Qatar remains a well-prepared destination, fully capable of managing situations of this nature with efficiency and professionalism," the message reads. "While the situation is being closely monitored, the destination continues to operate with stability. We kindly encourage you to share this message of reassurance and confidence with your clients."
