Zegrahm Expeditions, a small-ship cruising and overland adventure operator, has announced it will be returning to Africa this year, with safaris in Uganda and Namibia. Leading both trips is Lawrence Weitz, a South African guide who has been leading safaris for nearly 20 years.

The Uganda: A Primitive Paradise expedition, departing on July 17, is a 14-day adventure that showcases the country's diverse wildlife and scenery. Guests will enjoy a river cruise to Murchison Falls, one of Africa's most dramatic waterfalls; hike through Kibale National Park, home to chimpanzees and 360 bird species; observe tree-climbing lions in Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of the few places where this behavior can be seen; and get up close with mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Safaris are priced from $15,980 per person.

The 15-day Ultimate Namibia departs on Aug. 2. Guests will traverse Etosha National Park, observing zebras, wildebeest, Damara dik-dik, white and black rhinos and much more; track desert-adapted elephants in Damaraland; and visit a Himba village. Prices for that expedition are from $13,980 per person.
