Norwegian Cruise Line to sponsor Pitbull performance at CruiseWorld

Pitbull, the Grammy Award-winning global superstar and the godfather to the Norwegian Escape, is scheduled to perform Wednesday, Nov. 7, at CruiseWorld. 

Norwegian Cruise Line, the innovator in cruising, has invited Armando Christian Perez, known globally as Pitbull, to perform at the 2018 Travel Weekly CruiseWorld conference in Fort Lauderdale, making it the first live performance in the conference's history. 

"We strive to provide our guests with compelling world-class entertainment across our 16-ship fleet," said Andy Stuart, president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line.  "In the same way the high-caliber productions we offer on board energize our guests and set the standard for entertainment, Pitbull's show-stopping performance will provide this year's CruiseWorld attendees with incomparable energy and excitement." 

On the evening of Nov. 7, conference attendees holding a full-access badge will be invited to an unforgettable performance and an exclusive reception-style dining experience.

Pitbull, also known as Mr. Worldwide, has been a partner of the Norwegian Cruise Line brand, holding the title as godfather of the Norwegian Escape and leading the ship's christening ceremony in 2015; hosting two Pitbull After Dark Parties at sea in 2017 and 2018 on the Norwegian Pearl and Norwegian Jade in partnership with Sixthman, the industry leader in music festival vacation experiences; and making a surprise appearance on the Norwegian Bliss during its inaugural preview cruise from Seattle this past June. 

CruiseWorld, taking place from Nov. 7 to 9, also features C-suite keynote speakers, supplier workshops, peer-to-peer training, a one-day Exhibitor Showcase, sponsored meal functions, ship inspections and significant networking opportunities.

CruiseWorld will include three days of general sessions, during which attendees will hear from top leadership in the cruise and tour community, with updates, insights and trends from industry leaders. Over the course of the event breakout sessions will be held covering every segment of the leisure travel space. Certification programs and CLIA classes will also be offered. 

The signature one-day Exhibitor Showcase will be held on Thursday, Nov. 8 with companies representing diverse segments of the travel industry, including airlines, attractions, business tools, car rental, cruise, destinations, hotels and resorts, professional services, tour operators and packaged vacations.
