The Karol Hotel, centrally located in Feather Sound between Clearwater, St. Petersburg and Tampa, is scheduled to opens its doors in late fall. The 123-room boutique hotel, owned and operated by Tampa-based Mainsail Lodging, will feature suites, a signature lobby bar and restaurant, a rooftop bar overlooking Tampa Bay, over 7,000 feet of event space and a resort-style pool and fitness center.

The hotel will be a member of Marriott's Tribute Portfolio, the first in Pinellas County, and is named for Karol Bullard, one of Feather Sound's most notable social figures and the wife of the property's developer, Fred Bullard, CEO of the Bullard Group. "The Karol will be a hideaway of classic, refined comforts, with a personality built on charm, generosity and tasteful indulgence of the finer things -- the same spirit embodied by its namesake," said Joe Collier, president of Mainsail Lodging & Development.

The guestrooms will feature a neutral, elegant palette of white marble, tawny beige and grey with some bold accents of Florida sky blue carpet and an abstract feather motif. The signature restaurant, to be called the K Club Bar & Bistro, and the Vantage Rooftop Bar will offer guests two on-site food and beverage opportunities.

The Karol Hotel will be located 15 minutes from Tampa's Westshore Business District and Tampa Airport.
