Two poolside culinary events are planned in Las Vegas next month, tempting tourists off the Strip with a selection of fine foods.
Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa is celebrating 20 years with its Taste of Station from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 18.
The event will include representatives from restaurants, lounges and partners from across Station Casinos' properties. Participating venues include T-Bones Chophouse, Nicco's Prime Cuts & Fresh Fish, Hank's Fine Steaks, Blue Ribbon Sushi, Bottiglia, Hearthstone, Leticia's, Mijo, Osteria Fiorella, Summer House, 8 Noodle Bar, Ai Pono Cafe and Irv's Burgers.
The evening also will include live entertainment, interactive displays
and experiential artists. A portion of proceeds will benefit Three
Square food bank.
"As we reach this incredible milestone for Red Rock and for the neighborhood, we are celebrating the best way we know how: with events featuring lots of great food, amazing entertainment and our local community," said Jordan Seager, vice president and general manager of Red Rock Casino.
General admission tickets start at $100 (plus tax and fees), which include unlimited food and beverage tastings. Guests must be 21 years or older to attend.
Palms Resort event
Vegas Unstripped will return to the Palms Casino Resort pool deck from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 26. Chefs and bartenders from throughout the city will debut a dish or cocktail created exclusively for the evening.
"We are truly proud to see the local Las Vegas culinary scene begin to get the worldwide recognition we have always sought to spotlight," said Eric Gladstone, who with chef James Trees (Esther's Kitchen, High Steaks Las Vegas and Bar Boheme, among others) is producing the event.
Among the participants will be Alec Paki and Brian Howard of Sparrow & Wolf; "Chopped" winner Bruce Kalman and Myrhissa Bautista of SoulBelly BBQ; Joe Swan of High Steaks Vegas at the Rio Hotel and Casino; John Arena of Metro Pizza; Kari Garcia of TSP Bakery; and Marty Lopez of Scotch 80 Prime at Palms Casino Resort.
Proceeds from the event are donated to local charities. To date, Vegas Unstripped has donated more than $70,000 to Las Vegas area charities.
General admission (starting at $150 plus tax and fees) tickets are now available. All attendees must be at least 21. A small number of tickets will be available on the day of the event for a higher price.
