The Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is now a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts' Connect collection.

Preferred Hotels & Resorts is the world's largest network of independent hotels, comprising more than 750 hotels, resorts, residences and hotel groups in 85 countries.

Guests of the Downtown Grand are now eligible to enroll in the I Prefer hotel rewards program, which offers points redeemable for cash-value Reward Certificates, elite status and special benefits to members at participating Preferred Hotels & Resorts locations worldwide.

The Downtown Grand (formerly the Lady Luck) opened in 2013. It is constructing a third tower, scheduled to be completed next year, that will increase the number of rooms and suites to more than 1,100.

With what it calls an "industrial chic aura," the hotel's expansion is part of continued efforts to draw visitors to Las Vegas' birthplace, north of the Strip.

"We are thrilled to partner with such an elite hotel brand and collection," said John Culetsu, vice president and managing director of Downtown Grand. "Preferred Hotels & Resorts has a premier portfolio and will offer our guests an elevated experience plus authentic connectivity to the market. With our new 495-room tower set to open next year, the timing for this partnership couldn't be better."
