The Me Miami will have its soft opening in downtown Miami on June 14.

The 129-room, upscale hotel will be the first in the U.S. for the Me by Melia brand of Spain-based Melia Hotels International. Me by Melia also has properties in Madrid, London, Milan, Mallorca and elsewhere.

Its Miami locale sits along Biscayne Boulevard at the northeastern edge of downtown, near the Perez Art Museum, the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, American Airlines Arena and the sprawling Patricia and Philip Frost Museum of Science, which is under construction.

Amenities at the hotel are centered on the 14th floor terrace, which offers a broad view over Biscayne Bay. The terrace has two pools, a bar and lounge area and a spa.

The Me Miami will also feature an STK steakhouse.

Rooms at the Me Miami start at $218 during the soft opening period, through June 30.
