Beginning in 2017, "The
Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon will have his own ride at Universal Orlando
Resort, the comedian announced during his show Tuesday night.
"Race Through New York
Starring Jimmy Fallon" will be a 3D ride pitting Fallon against his guests. It
will take riders into the late-night show's Studio 6B before moving onto
the streets of New York.
"Guests will twist,
turn and laugh as they speed through the streets — and skies — of the Big Apple,
encountering everything from iconic landmarks to the deepest subway tunnels — and
anything else that comes to Jimmy's mind,” Universal Orlando said in a press
On "The Tonight Show,"
Fallon revealed that the ride will have smoke and water.
“I don't know what I'm allowed to
say. I can't say anything,” he had said before offering those details.
Fallon is working with
Universal to develop the ride's story line.
"Race Through New York"
will replace "Twister... Ride it Out" at the Universal Studios
Florida park. The simulation attraction based on the 1996 film "Twister" will
close on Nov. 2.
