The Mission Inn Resort & Club near Orlando has completed the first phase of a refresh project as part of its 50th anniversary celebration.
The renovations, totaling $1 million to date over the past year, renovated all of the resort’s 176 guestrooms and suites. New carpet, upholstery, window treatments and sliding glass doors to the rooms’ private, screened balconies were added. Keurig coffeemakers and new televisions were also part of the refit, and hallways got new artwork and a new coat of paint.
The second phase of the project, now under way, includes renovations to the public bathrooms as well as a new lobby patio canopy, poolside decor, exterior doors, patio screens and exterior tile work. The resort tennis shop will also undergo refurbishment. A third phase is planned for 2015, when a children’s pool and play area will be added and hallway carpets will be replaced.
The resort, located in Howey-in-the Hills, about a half-hour drive from Orlando-area theme parks, has been owned and managed by the Beucher family since 1964.
As part of the anniversary celebration, the Mission Inn Resort is offering two vacation specials to guests.
