As part of an expedition cruise expansion that increases its Alaska and polar region capacities, Tauck is launching an Alaska's Inside Passage itinerary in 2019.
The eight-day, all-inclusive outing takes place aboard the 240-passenger Le Soleal, a six-deck small ship with private balconies in 95% of its suites and staterooms. Tours depart from Juneau or Vancouver, visiting Ketchikan, Sitka, Haines and Skagway and exploring the glaciers of Tracy Arm Fjord.
Guests can select from daily shore excursions that range from wildlife tours and canoe trips to rail journeys and dogsled rides. Naturalist, author and 30-year U.S. Forest Service veteran Dave Govatski will share insights throughout the cruise, and BBC Earth filmmaker Chris Morgan will meet with travelers during one of the port calls.
Tauck's Alaska's Inside Passage cruises start at $6,990 per person. Prices include shore excursions, gratuities, airport transfers, port charges and house beverages; airfare is not included.
