For lodging, our family loved the condo we booked in North Scottsdale through Meridian Condo-Resorts, as it gave us a full kitchen, smart TVs in each bedroom and a luxe pool and fitness facility at our fingertips.
Scottsdale has a lot of new choices for traditional hotels, as well.
Next month, the city welcomes the Adero, part of Marriott's Autograph Collection. The six-story, 177-room property, perched high in the Sonoran Desert, will be the first Dark Sky Zone resort in the region, allowing for nightly stargazing with the hotel's telescopes.
Another new choice to consider is Canopy by Hilton, which opened in Old Town Scottsdale this past fall. The property is the first newbuild hotel in Old Town (an iconic, walkable area that is perfect for families) in more than a decade. Canopy offers complimentary bikes, a rooftop pool and two restaurants.
And currently under construction is the Ritz-Carlton, Paradise Valley, which will feature 215 rooms over 20 acres, views of Camelback Mountain and a 16,000-square-foot spa. It's an ideal choice for parents who are weary after a day of chasing little ones.
