The 58th World Eskimo-Indian Olympics (WEIO) will take place at the Carlson Center in Fairbanks from July 17 to 20.

Over the course of four days, athletes will participate in the knuckle hop, four-man carry, ear pull, kneel jump and other traditional games that test speed, agility and endurance. The festival also includes dance performances and the Miss WEIO Cultural Pageant.

The WEIO promotes cultures from Alaska and Greenland, along with Siberian, Canadian Inuit and Native American traditions.
