A&K Sanctuary next year will introduce a new ship, the Nile Seray, A&K's fifth in Egypt.

The name "Seray" means palace, which captures "the essence of this floating sanctuary," A&K said.

The ship will be able to accommodate 64 guests in 32 suites. Each suite will have a sitting area, floor-to-ceiling windows, a Juliet balcony and a large bathroom. Two suites have private balconies with outdoor spa pools.

The ship will have two restaurants (including one outdoors) a spa, gym, top deck with canopied daybeds, swimming pool and outdoor bar. The wellness space onboard features two spa treatment rooms and a gym.

The four-night itinerary will sail between Aswan and Luxor and visit the tombs of Nefertari, Seti I, Ramses VI and King Tutankhamun. The itinerary features a sailboat trip around Elephantine Island on a traditional, wind-powered felucca; an Egyptian cooking class; a costume party; and a hot air balloon ride. Egyptologists will be on every sailing.

A&K began offering Nile cruises in 1977, when founder Geoffrey Kent was inspired after meeting actor David Niven on the set of "Death on the Nile." He leased the steamship SS Memnon to launch the company's first cruise.
