Avalon Waterways is putting two of its Suite-class ships in France next year, a 95% capacity increase in the country for the river cruise line.
The 128-passenger Avalon Poetry II, christened last month in Dordrecht, Netherlands, will sail the Saone and Rhone rivers in 2015. The ship is sailing Dutch waterways and the Danube River this season.
Additionally, a Suite-class ships Avalon is launching next year, the 128-passenger Avalon Tapestry II, will sail France’s Seine River in 2015.
For 2015, Avalon is introducing a 14-day itinerary that combines a Rhine sailing on the Avalon Tranquility II and a Rhone sailing on the Avalon Poetry II.
The two vessels will be joining the 140-passenger Avalon Creativity, currently plying the Seine, and the 138-passenger Avalon Scenery, currently sailing the Rhone and Saone.
