Scenic Cruises is repositioning its 169-passenger Scenic Emerald ship in France for the 2013 season.
Starting next April, the Scenic Emerald will sail several itineraries throughout France, including the 11- and 14-day Paris to Nice & France itineraries; a 14-day South of France itinerary; and a15-day Rhine and Rhone cruise. There is also a 23-day Normandy, Loire Valley & France River Cruise that combines a 10-day cruise with two nights in the Loire Valley and time in Paris, Rouen and Normandy Beach.
The Scenic Emerald launched in 2008 and had been sailing the Main and Danube rivers. Scenic has been chartering the 144-passenger Symphony, a ship built in 2003, for its river cruise program in France, which it will continue with through the end of the 2012 season.
Additionally, Scenic Cruises, owned by Australian parent company Scenic Tours, is adding a sixth river cruise ship to its European fleet, the 169-passenger Scenic Crystal, on April 25.
