High-end tour operator Travcoa has partnered with river cruise line AmaWaterways to create itineraries featuring river cruises in Central and Eastern Europe as well as in Southeast Asia.
Travcoa has contracted space on two Ama ships: the 164-passenger AmaPrima, which cruises the Danube River, and the 124-passenger AmaLotus, which cruises the Mekong River to create the itineraries. Each small Travcoa tour group will be led by a Travcoa travel director and will include all meals, private excursions and exclusive events.
Travcoa’s Eastern & Central Europe cruise-tours launch in June. The 14-day Kingdom of Romania & the Bohemian Danube escorted journey includes a seven-day land tour of Romania followed by a seven-day Danube River cruise aboard the AmaPrima from Budapest, Hungary, to Vilshofen, Germany.
The 13-day Danube of the Hapsburgs escorted journey includes a six-day tour from Zagreb, Croatia, to Lake Bled, Slovenia, and then to Salzburg, Austria, before embarking the AmaPrima in Vilshofen, Germany, for a seven-day Danube River cruise to Budapest.
Launching in January, Travcoa’s 17- and 24-day Indochina & the Mighty Mekong cruise-tours will pair Travcoa’s small-group tour to Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Thailand, Luang Prabang, Laos, and Siem Reap, Cambodia, with a cruise along the Mekong River aboard the AmaLotus.
The 17-day Escorted Journey ends in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, while the 24-day itinerary continues by land from Ho Chi Minh City to Danang, Vietnam, with an overnight cruise through Ha Long Bay, and ends in Hanoi.
