Victoria Cruises, which specializes in river cruises along China’s Yangtze River, said prices for its 2014 itineraries will remain the same as in 2013.
Rates for 2014 departures of Victoria Cruises’ Three Gorges Highlights program, a three-night itinerary from Chongqing to Yichang that is one of the company’s most popular itineraries, begin at $880 per person, based on double occupancy.
Four-night upstream departures out of Yichang will operate daily in 2014 excluding Tuesdays, while three-night downstream cruises will depart out of Chongqing six days per week from Sunday through Friday. Victoria Cruises will offer daily departures for the Three Gorges Highlights program during the summer.
Victoria Cruises is celebrating 20 years of sailing the Yangtze in 2014 and is planning several anniversary-themed promotions that will kick off in January. Details will be on the company’s Facebook page.
Additionally, Victoria Cruises is adding a new excursion along the Yantze tributary, the Goddess Stream, to its shore excursion package. The package costs an additional $90 per person and includes tours of Fengdu and the Three Gorges Dam, as well as a sampan ride along the Goddess Stream.
The Woodside, N.Y.-based Victoria Cruises finished a two-year, $10 million overhaul of five of its river cruise vessel in 2012 and invested another $4.5 million in upgrading the 270-passenger Victoria Anna, which it unveiled earlier this year.
Anna’s sister ship, the Victoria Katarina, will undergo a similar redo next winter, Victoria Cruises has said.
