American Airlines has completed installation of high-speed satellite WiFi access across the more than 700 aircraft in its mainline narrowbody fleet.

All aircraft now have either Gogo 2Ku or ViaSat satellite WiFi that enable internet access or free entertainment options like movies and live TV.

The installation process took less than two years, according to American senior vice president for marketing, loyalty and sales Kurt Stache.

American now is installing power at ever seat across its mainline and two-class regional fleets, as well as tablet holders on the majority of its narrowbody aircraft.
