AA replaces TWA name on flights, signage

ST. LOUIS -- The TWA name is fading into history.

As of Dec. 2, all TWA-operated flights will be marketed as American through agents, Internet reservations systems and elsewhere.

TWA's name also is disappearing from airports. All TWA passsengers will use American gates, ticket counters and clubs; all TWA signs at aiports are being replaced with American's name, and flight information monitors will show TWA flight numbers listed as AA, not TWA. Also, Trans World Express, TWA's regional service, will be rebranded "AmericanConnection."

Passengers holding TWA tickets do not need to make any changes; their tickets will remain valid.

TWA passengers who want to verify their terminal and gate information for flights departing Dec. 2 or later can check on the Web at www.aa.com or call American's automated flight information system at (800) 242-4444.
