Air Canada will suspend bookings and itinerary changes from Monday night into Tuesday as it migrates to a new reservation system.

Starting at 8 p.m. Eastern on Monday, booking functions on AirCanada.com and the carrier's phone centers will be offline. They'll remain down until approximately mid-day Tuesday.

During the migration, passengers will be able check-in for flights via the Air Canada app and airport kiosks. They'll also be able to check the status of their flights online and via the app.

The carrier said that people who need to urgently book or change a flight during the migration should contact a travel advisor.
