NEW YORK -- Anchorage-based Reeve Aleutian Airways, which had been offering charter flights to the Russian Far East, got approval to begin scheduled service to the region.

The carrier plans service to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, where several American firms are participating in oil-field development, and to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, which lost service by Alaska Airlines.
