American Express is building its largest Centurion Lounge to date at New York's Kennedy Airport, expected to open by early 2019.

The lounge will be located in Terminal 4, spanning 15,000 square feet across two levels. Terminal 4 is one of six at the airport; more than 21 million passengers pass through it each year.

Like other Centurion Lounges, the Kennedy Airport location will include a complimentary bar and food menu, restrooms and shower suites, high-speed Wi-Fi and noise-buffering workspaces. At Kennedy, the lounge will feature views of the airfield.

In addition, it will include "special new features to be announced closer to the lounge's opening," American Express said in a statement.

The Kennedy Airport location will be the 10th Centurion Lounge. The others are in LaGuardia, Dallas/Fort Worth, Hong Kong, Houston Bush, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Miami, Seattle-Tacoma and San Francisco.

Centurion Lounge access is exclusive to American Express Platinum Card Members and Centurion Members. Platinum members can bring up to two travel companions at no additional charge, while Centurion members can enter with their immediate family or up to two travel companions. Additional access can be purchased by members for $50 per person.
