American Airlines will be the first carrier to facilitate at-home Covid-19 testing before flights to all domestic destinations that have travel restrictions.
The tests, which cost $129, will be available Wednesday, Dec. 9, for travel starting Dec. 12. They'll be provided by American's home testing partner LetsGetChecked.

"By using LetsGetChecked for their domestic preflight testing, customers can head to the airport knowing they have the results they need for travel," said American spokeswoman Rachel Warner. "This makes the process of identifying a testing provider easier, but they are free to find a different provider if they choose."
American does not make money off of the tests, Warner added.
Currently, Puerto Rico, Alaska, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, the District of Columbia and the city of Chicago are the domestic destinations that have travel restrictions.
