American Airlines on Thursday debuted
its renovated Flagship Lounge at New York's Kennedy Airport, the first such
debut for the new concept that the carrier is using for the Flagship product.
Beginning Thursday at
Kennedy, international business class flyers can use the Flagship Lounge. In
addition, Kennedy houses American's inaugural Flagship First Dining -- a
complimentary full-service restaurant that is available only to first class
international travelers.
Late last year,
American temporarily changed the names of its four Flagship Lounges as it
prepped for the revamp.
Lounges at Kennedy,
London Heathrow, Los Angeles and Chicago O'Hare have been called International
First Class lounges during renovations. Those lounges, plus new facilities in
Miami, Dallas Forth Worth and Philadelphia, will be part of the Flagship brand
once work on them is compete.
