Discount carrier Breeze Airways will add San Diego to its route map.
Breeze service between San Diego and five eastern cities will begin in the spring.
The airline will launch thrice-weekly flights to Raleigh-Durham on April 30, followed by Norfolk, Va. (four times per week) and Jacksonville, Fla. (twice weekly) on May 1.
On May 2, Breeze will begin thrice-weekly San Diego-Cincinnati service, followed on May 3 with twice-weekly San Diego-Pittsburgh flights.
Breeze will be the lone carrier on each of the five routes.
