SEATTLE -- China Southern Airlines took delivery of a new "Next
Generation" 737-800 aircraft. It is the fourth of 20 that the
airline is buying from Boeing to upgrade its fleet as part of a
deal signed Oct. 3, 2001.
The new aircraft replace 737s and have a range of 900 nautical
miles more than their predecessors. They will be configured with
159 seats in economy class and eight in first class.
