Continental Micronesia plans Honolulu-Nagoya service

HOUSTON -- Continental subsidiary Continental Micronesia plans to begin daily nonstop service Dec. 20 between Honolulu and Nagoya, Japan, pending government approval.

Mark Erwin, president of Continental's Asia Pacific Division, called Nagoya-Honolulu an "underserved market" and said the new service will open up "new two-way tourism opportunities" for Hawaii and Japan.

The new flight will depart Honolulu at 2:15 p.m. and arrive in Nagoya at 6:45 p.m. the next day. The return flight will leave Nagoya at 8 p.m. and arrive in Honolulu the same day at 8 a.m. Continental will use 767 aircraft for the route.
