DayJet, a Florida-based air taxi service that operated a fleet of Eclipse 500 aircraft, went out of business on Sept. 19.
The company said it was unable "to arrange critical financing in the midst of the current global financial crisis."
DayJet had been in business for only a year. When DayJet launched, the company had billed itself as a "per-seat, on-demand jet service." It flew mainly to general aviation airports in Florida and intended to expand throughout the Southeast.
