SkyTeam partners Korean Air and Delta plan to expand their
codesharing in the U.S. and Asia in the fourth quarter of 2016, pending
government approvals.
Korean Air will place its code on 156 of Delta’s U.S. and
Canadian routes beyond Atlanta, Los Angeles and New York Kennedy. Korean Air also
will add its code to Delta’s Sao Paulo flights from Atlanta and New York.
Delta will add its code on Korean Air flights to 32 cities
beyond Seoul, including Singapore, Bangkok, Saigon, Osaka and Taipei. Also, Delta
will place its code on Korean Air flights from Houston and San Francisco
to Seoul.
In addition, Korean Air will place its code on Delta’s new
flight from Atlanta to Seoul that will launch June 3. Korean Air already flies
this route.
Delta currently operates 14 weekly flights to Seoul from its
gateways in Detroit and Seattle.
